Virtual design tool on the new Kohler website offers consumers help in selecting the perfect sink, faucet and countertop for their kitchen remodel

KOHLER, Wis. – May 16, 2012 – Appreciating the hands-on efforts and intensive research often required for a kitchen remodel, Kohler Co. launches a new Kitchen Planner tool aimed at streamlining the planning process and increasing confidence surrounding a major kitchen project. The tool allows users to virtually design their own kitchen sink spaces by choosing from a variety of KOHLER faucet styles and finishes, and KOHLER sink styles and colors, as well as Cambria and Cosentino countertops. The tool allows users to visually match faucet finishes and sink colors to countertops to create their own perfect combination.

“Remodels can seem overwhelming at times, but the Kohler Kitchen planner tool helps ease the task of sink, faucet and countertop coordination,” says Adam Horwitz, director of Kohler kitchen product marketing. “For example, homeowners who may initially have reservations about installing a colored sink may find that they actually prefer color once they can see it placed virtually in their countertop choice.”

The online tool includes KOHLER kitchen sinks – stainless steel and enameled cast iron – and available colors, KOHLER faucets in available finishes, as well as actual countertop samples, and continual updates to the tool will keep the options relevant. By introducing different styles and colors into their virtual kitchen space, users can see what the many combinations look like.

"Being able to design a kitchen space with the planner tool is such a great help," says Diana Schrage, interior designer at the Kohler Design Center. "I work with homeowners every day who often struggle to envision what their kitchen sink space could look like. This online tool literally shows them what it can look like and allows them to take an active part in designing their space."
