With products exclusively from the KOHLER brands, distributor-owned KOHLER Signature Stores serve as a one-stop shop complete with unparalleled consultation services

KOHLER, Wis. – May 17, 2012 – With a strong, long-lasting history of bringing products to homeowners and the trade through trusted distributors, Kohler heightens its accessibility with the opening of the first KOHLER Signature Store in Edina, Minnesota. Solely owned and operated by plumbing distributor First Supply, this kitchen and bath showroom provides a distinguished Kohler experience where designers and homeowners can get hands on with hundreds of products, take advantage of expert consultation services and step into fully designed suites featuring products exclusively from the Kohler brands: KOHLER, KALLISTA, ROBERN, KOHLER Surfaces tile and stone and KOHLER custom vanities.

Following the opening of the KOHLER Signature Store by First Supply in Edina, Kohler plans to expand the retail store platform with distributors to the top 20 U.S. consumer markets. The next two are slated to open this fall in Boston and Washington, D.C.

After the 2005 launch of the industry-first retail platform KOHLER Stores in Chicago, Kohler Co. knew it had created something truly special. “The KOHLER Stores not only immerse homeowners and designers in KOHLER products, they provide a sterling level of expertise and customer service to ensure every product choice both meets the homeowners’ needs and reflects their individuality,” says Michelle Kilmer, Kohler director of showroom marketing. It’s that same personalized kitchen and bath experience, perfected and well-received at The KOHLER Store’s three Chicagoland locations, that will be recreated and provided in KOHLER Signature Stores across the country.

We couldn’t be happier about the first KOHLER Signature Store opening with First Supply,” Kilmer says. “They’ve been distributing Kohler product for 61 years, and we’re thrilled to see the relationship grow in this new capacity.” As a hub of home improvement retailers, the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area is the perfect launch point of Kohler’s new retail platform, especially given its proximity to the company’s headquarters in Kohler, Wisconsin. “Edina is in Kohler’s back yard,” Kilmer says. “And with the wide market the Twin Cities serve throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa, it’s sure to be a fantastic opportunity for both First Supply and Kohler Co.”
