New KOHLER Eventide Dual-Mount Kitchen Sink Offers Installation Flexibility
KOHLER, Wis. – April 24, 2012 – The versatile design of Kohler's new Eventide dual-mount double basin kitchen sink puts the installation choice in the hands of the consumer, allowing him or her to decide on top-mount or undercounter installation. Its unusually low-profile yet ultra-strong rim enables the sink to be installed top-mount in a way that puts the sink nearly level with the surrounding countertop, giving the sink a flush-mount appearance and allowing for easy clean up. Alternatively, the Eventide can be easily installed as an undercounter sink with solid surface tops such as granite or quartz. Identically sized dual basins allow for simultaneous prep work and clean-up.
"The dual-mount installation option with the Eventide sink is key for builders, installers, even homeowners," says Adam Horwitz, director of KOHLER kitchen product marketing. "Contractors and installers cut down on the number of sinks on their truck, and homeowners don't have to decide on installation before they begin their kitchen project. It's a win-win."
Composed of resilient 18-gauge stainless steel, the Eventide sink is designed to handle the rigors of everyday use for years to come. At 33 5/16 inches by 22 5/16 inches by 8 ¾ inches , the Eventide provides ample room for cleaning large pots and pans, and Kohler's exclusive SilentShield® sound deadening design muffles the clatter of dishes and noise of the disposal. Included in the Eventide sink is a fitted basin rack which protects the sink and allows it to drain even when items are in the basin.
