The KOHLER Amplifier Provides Smart and Affordable Home Audio Solution
Amplifier, a Bluetooth-enabled device from Kohler Faucets, makes it easy to incorporate audio anywhere in the home
KOHLER, Wis. – April 24, 2012 – Studies abound that speak to the psychological and physical benefits of listening to music—simply hearing a favorite song can boost endorphin levels and reduce stress. At the 2012 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, Kohler Faucets expands into the home electronics arena with the launch of the KOHLER Amplifier, a device that makes it easy to incorporate this feel-good experience in the bathroom where people start and end their day, or in any other living space.
"Amplifier is a response to the exploding popularity of smart phones and tablets," says Les Petch, Kohler marketing manager of performance showering. "It utilizes Bluetooth® technology to stream and control music from mobile devices and can connect to as many as eight different sources—a convenient solution for spaces used by multiple people."
After a very positive response from homeowners for showering products with audio features such as the DTV II, Kohler Faucets focused on the development of an attainable, easy-to-install and -use digital component that utilizes the user's existing audio library both in and beyond the bathroom. Amplifier ideally works with KOHLER SoundTiles—a perfect pairing for areas of the home with high moisture levels, such as the shower or patio. It can be easily connected to any new or existing speakers speakers, as well. Amplifier sports a compact design and includes mounting brackets, allowing for discrete installation on the inside of a cabinet or other suitable place without eating up shelf space.
"Consumer trends reveal the need for an audio solution that's both convenient and elegant," Petch says. "And that's the beauty of Amplifier; it's clutter-free and easy to use, whether it's installed in the bathroom or any other space in the home."
The KOHLER Bathroom Amplifier includes the following features:
• Bluetooth®-enabled with the ability to be paired with up to eight Bluetooth devices
• Automatically goes to standby mode after four minutes of no signal detection for convenience
and energy conservation
• Connections for up to four 4- or 8-ohm speakers
• Clean, compact design makes for discrete installation in closets or inside cabinets
