The popular Brookfield sink’s refreshed look includes expanded bowls, a slimmer saddle and 9-inch basin depth

KOHLER, Wis. – April 24, 2012 – The KOHLER Brookfield enameled cast iron kitchen sink has been one of the popular staples in Kohler’s kitchen sink offering for almost 50 years. With a few smart updates, the new sink is now even better addressing some basic needs of today’s consumers, such as more basin space and a streamlined current design. The refreshed look is bound to attract homeowners’ attention as a beautiful and durable addition to any kitchen. “The Brookfield is one of our universally popular designs,” says Kohler’s director for kitchen products, Adam Horwitz. “Its updates are subtle, knowing our customers love it the way it is already. Tweaks simply improve functionality and update its look, while maintaining the integrity of the design.”

With its new 9-inch-deep basin, functional basin area increases substantially compared to the previous 8-inch depth, which makes it easier to soak and wash pots and pans. The increased depth also minimizes splashing because the water is contained lower in the basin. "Homeowners prefer sinks with roomy basins. It's feedback we hear regularly," adds Horwitz. "And the Brookfield definitely offers that." The slimmer saddle design conveys a more elegant, current aesthetic.

For homeowners looking to make a splash with color, the Brookfield undercounter model is available in 19 vibrant colors, while the self-rimming version is available in six core colors: White, Biscuit, Almond, Dune, Black-Black, and the newly introduced Suede. Reversible sink racks are also available.

MSRP: self-rimming $433; undercounter $750
