KOHLER, Wis. – January 12, 2012 – After nine successful seasons, ABC announced in December 2011 that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition would air for the very last time on January 13 of this year. Kohler Co. and its kitchen and bath products have been an integral part of the heartwarming show that moved millions of viewers to tears and made the line “Move that bus!” famous.

Kohler’s relationship with the popular Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series spans all nine seasons. Over the years, the company has donated kitchen and bath products installed in a total of 803 bathrooms and powder rooms, 255 kitchens and 127 laundry rooms. The association between Kohler and the popular primetime show was so rewarding that it expanded to include several engines and home standby generators from Kohler’s Global Power Group as well as furniture and tile from the Kohler Interiors Group.

“It is bittersweet to see the show draw to a close, but nine years is a great run in the television industry. We are extremely proud and grateful to have been the exclusive provider of kitchen and bath products for all nine of those seasons of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” said Todd Weber, communications director of product public relations for Kohler Co. “To be able to play a part in changing a family’s life for the better by helping renovate their home is incredibly rewarding, as it was for our associates who felt the pride of seeing the Kohler products each week. Knowing that our products made everyday life easier and more enjoyable for these families is exactly what Kohler’s mission of gracious living is all about.”

The 200th and last episode of the Emmy-winning series will run on January 13 at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST with a special project, shot in the tornado-ravaged town of Joplin, Mo. The EMHE team will build seven homes in seven days for families affected by the natural disaster.
