KOHLER, Wis. – Feb. 8, 2012 – After last year’s successful launch of the Vault self-trimming apron-front kitchen sink, Kohler Co., a global leader in kitchen and bath design and technology, brings a new level of simplicity to the popular Vault collection with the addition of three top-mount self-trimming models.

“These newest additions to the Vault collection are ideal for homeowners looking for an instant update without the added cost of expensive installation,” says Erin Rettler, senior market analyst for Kitchen products at Kohler. “The sinks install easily over laminate countertops, and their ultra-low 1.25mm rim means debris can be swept effortlessly into the sink.”

With a shortened apron, it’s easily retrofitted into existing cabinetry while still providing an ample 9-inch-deep basin. All it takes is removing the false drawer front, making a few simple cuts to the cabinet face, and simply sliding the sink into place. The innovative self-trimming design eliminates the need for additional trim work or caulking.

Vault Top-Mount Self-Trimming Apron-Front Kitchen Sinks

  • Fits standard cabinetry: The Vault top-mount apron-front stainless steel kitchen sink is designed to fit 30- and 36-inch cabinets, eliminating the need for custom millwork.
  • Top-mount design: Ultra-thin 1.25 mm rim allows the sink to be installed over laminate countertops while still making it easy for debris to be swept into the sink.
  • Easy installation: An included template makes it easy to determine whether the sink will work with existing countertop and cabinetry, eliminating the guesswork of cutting to ensure a successful installation.
  • Deep basin: The Vault sinks have 9-inch deep basins—ample space for soaking and cleaning bulky pots and pans.
  • Rear drain: Placing the drain at the rear provides homeowners with more flat and functional bowl space for storing or washing dishes.
  • MSRP: $750 - $775
