The bathtub you choose should reflect its uses--and its users. Is it a destination for serene, relaxing soaks or the spot for active kids and busy adults to quickly get clean? The answers will help you choose the bathtub that’s best for you.

Installation

Whether you’re choosing a bathtub for a newly constructed bathroom or replacing one in an existing bathroom, your first step is to pick the appropriate installation type.

Alcove

An alcove is a recessed nook or area within a room. Fixtures designed for corner or three-wall alcove installations feature unfinished exteriors and tile flanges on two to four sides. Many of these fixtures include an integral apron to complete the design. Alcove baths are available in 5 feet, 5.5 feet and 6 feet lengths.

Corner

Corner baths are usually five-sided, with a triangular basin, and designed to accommodate two bathers at once.

Drop-in

Fixtures designed for drop-in installation have a self-rimming edge that rests on the material – such as tile or stone – that surrounds your whirlpool or bath.

Under-mount

Creating a clean, contemporary look, under-mount installation is perfect for designing a quiet, spa-like bathroom space. The deck of the bath is mounted beneath your choice of deck material, such as tile, solid surface or natural stone.

Freestanding

This installation option is ideal when the bath is the focal point of the room. Accessible from all sides, the freestanding bath highlights the beauty of the design.

Sizing

Many of our baths are available in different sizes so you can find the right size for both your space and your family’s needs.

Length

Consider two primary factors: the size of your bathroom (or the length of your existing tub space) and the height of the people who will use the bathtub. Measure the length from the head end to the foot end of the bath. Some bathtub styles are available in more than one length.

Width

Width, measured from side-to-side, is another important consideration. Your width preference is largely determined by your stature.

Hydrotherapy Type

We've created five distinct hydrotherapies that shape and move water and air, even sound, over and around your body.

VibrAcoustic®

VibrAcoustic hydrotherapy combines music, sound-wave vibration and chromatherapy in the bath, delivering relaxation that literally resonates deep within the body.

Effervescence

Effervescence technology is designed to move water and air gently through unique ports to create champagne-like bubbles that cling to your skin and pamper your body.

BubbleMassage™

BubbleMassage technology pushes air through airjets positioned along the perimeter of the bath, creating thousands of bubbles for a range of tactile and visual sensations.

Whirlpool

KOHLER whirlpools deliver powerful directed massage with jets that are fully adjustable in direction and massage intensity.

Baths

KOHLER® baths are ergonomically crafted to gently support the natural curves and angles of your body. Just calm, quiet water and you.
