FLOW RATE
KOHLER HiFlow Rite Temp valves deliver more than double the gpm of standard Rite-Temp valves.

FLOW RATE
The innovative design of MasterShower HiFlow Rite Temp valves enables water to cascade at over 12 gpm* at 50 psi.

* Actual flow rates may vary according to plumbing system set-up.

SPECIFICATION TIPS:
- The flow rate capacity of the valve is determined by water pressure in pounds per square inch (PSI) at the point of hook-up. Using the flow rate chart, determine how many gallons per minute (GPM) can pass through the valve according to available PSI. Once you know the maximum flow rate, select the components you wish to use and make sure that their combined GPM does not exceed the flow rate of the valve.
- Make sure that the water heater and drain capacity can accommodate your custom shower arrangement. KOHLER Shower Drain K-9132 is recommended. If more than one valve is used in your arrangement, more than one drain may be required.
- For maximum results, use 3/4" supplies to the valve.
- Kohler pressure-balancing valves do not require volume control as they have an integral stop. Kohler does not recommend the installation of volume controls downstream of a Rite-Temp valve.
- The Kohler HiFlow Rite-Temp valve has only one outlet port in the top of the valve. For an installation which requires a bottom port, the valve may be installed upside down, and the cap can be removed and turned 180°.
- If using a diverter spout on a bath/shower installation, a twin ell (K-9663-NA) is required.
- For back-to-back installations, the cap may be rotated 180°, much like the Rite-Temp Pressure-Balancing Valve.
- For thin wall installations, a thin wall installation kit (88526-C/F) is required.
