2D KOHLER PRODUCT SYMBOLS

2D Overview:
The files available for download contain over 600 sets of 2D symbols of Kohler Co. plumbing fixtures. There are three views for each set (plan, front, and side) creating a total of more than 1800 symbols.

All symbols are drawn at full scale. When using most CAD applications the symbols will be automatically sized and proportioned upon insertion into a drawing.

Products which include additional parts (some toilets are supplied with seats, some whirlpools require grip rails) are represented with these parts attached. Products which are not shipped with additional parts are represented without these items. No symbols are included for faucets or shower doors; and required, recommended, optional or available accessories.

File Formats:
The 2D symbols are available in both AutoCAD DWG and DXF formats.

The DXF symbols should be compatible with any software that can import AutoCAD DXF files.

Many Kohler product variations are not visually apparent or may refer to the simple difference in the quantity and position of faucet holes, thus one symbol set may actually represent many products.

Symbol Accuracy:
These 2D symbols should be considered reliable for overall shape and dimensions, but not necessarily exact. They were drawn to be accurate within 1/8" in all three dimensions. Products made of components, such as toilet tanks and bowls, and pedestal lavatories and basins, have been drawn so each component meets these tolerances. Due to the tolerances used in creating these symbols, please do not use them in place of printed countertop cutout templates supplied with undermount kitchen sinks, lavatories, baths, and whirlpools. File Names:
Reading from left to right, characters up to the 5th position of the symbol filename represent the numeric portion of a Kohler product number. The next three character positions represent the view (pln=plan view, frt=front view, sde=side view).

Thus the DXF files for the plan, front and side views of model K-1246554 are 12465pln.dxf, 12465frt.dxf, and 12465sde.dxf respectively.

3D KOHLER PRODUCT SYMBOLS

3D Overview:
The files available for download include over 300 3D symbols of KOHLER plumbing fixtures and faucets. All symbols were drawn at full scale. When using most CAD applications the symbols will be automatically sized and proportioned upon insertion into a drawing.

File Formats:
The 3D symbols are available in both AutoCAD DWG and DXF formats.

The DXF symbols should be compatible with any 3D capable software that can import AutoCAD DXF files.

Many Kohler product variations are not visually apparent or may refer to the simple difference in the quantity and position of faucet holes, thus one symbol set may actually represent many products.

File Names:
For most symbols the filename represents the numeric portion of a KOHLER product number. Some symbols represent more than one product, these are represented by a series of part numbers. Thus file 1460.dwg is the symbol for the K-1460 whirlpool, while file 1460_1445.dwg is the symbol for the K-1460 whirlpool with the K-1445 apron.
